CDN forwarding IP, referred to as CDN IP, refers to a technical means by which the CDN service provider forwards the user request to the nearest CDN node, and then the node proxy sends the request to the user's real IP.
With the development of the Internet, website visits and user demands are increasing. In order to improve the access speed and stability of websites, CDN technology has emerged. CDN (Content Delivery Network) refers to the use of node servers deployed around the world to distribute user requests to the server closest to the user, so as to provide faster access speed and better user experience.
CDN service providers usually build a large number of node servers around the world, which are distributed in data centers, cloud service providers, etc. When a user visits a website, the request will first be sent to the CDN node closest to the user. The CDN node will select the best server based on the user's geographical location and forward the request to that server. This process is called CDN forwarding.
An important part of CDN forwarding is the use of CDN IP. CDN IP is a virtual channel established between CDN nodes and users to forward user requests and responses. CDN IP and the user's real IP are mapped to each other, and user requests and responses can be associated with the user's real IP.
The use of CDN forwarding IP has the following advantages:
Improve website access speed: Since CDN nodes are usually deployed all over the world, user requests will be forwarded to the server closest to the user, avoiding the problems of long-distance transmission and network congestion, thereby improving website access speed.
Reduce the load pressure on the source station: CDN nodes can cache the static resources of the website, such as pictures, videos, CSS, JS, etc. When users request these resources, CDN nodes can directly return the cached copy without accessing the source station again, thereby reducing the load pressure on the source station.
Improve the stability and reliability of the website: CDN nodes are distributed in multiple locations. When a node fails, CDN will automatically forward the request to other normal nodes to ensure the stability and reliability of the website.
Provide a safer access method: CDN service providers usually provide some security protection features, such as DDoS attack protection, WAF (Web Application Firewall), etc., to protect websites from malicious attacks and network threats.
However, CDN forwarding IP also has some problems and challenges. First, due to the limited distribution range of CDN nodes, there may be some areas or users that cannot be covered. Second, CDN forwarding IP may destroy the accurate record of user access by website statistics and analysis tools, because all user requests will be forwarded to CDN nodes. Finally, CDN forwarding IP also increases the risk of network security, and attackers may use CDN forwarding IP to carry out some malicious activities.
In summary, CDN forwarding IP is an important technical means to improve website access speed, reduce the load pressure of the source station, increase website stability and provide a safe access method. In the future, with the continuous development of the Internet and the continuous increase in user demand, CDN technology and CDN forwarding IP will be more and more widely used in various fields to provide users with a better network experience.
