Changsha Smart Transportation Development CenterFocusing on the construction of a comprehensive transportation coordination system, we will implement traffic operation monitoring, forecasting and early warning, provide traffic information services to the public, carry out dispatch and coordination of various modes of transportation, and provide information support for transportation administration and emergency response.

The center currently exchanges over 200 million pieces of data per day and has a storage capacity of 200TB. It needs to connect with the system data of more than 20 relevant departments on a daily basis to conduct real-time monitoring and refined management of the entire industry, including public transportation, taxis, rail, roads, and water transportation.

Previously, the center's various business systems were deployed on virtual servers and a small number of physical servers in different locations, and the server operating system all used the foreign CentOS7. Since CentOS7 will be shut down on June 30, 2024, the center's information system is "facing a formidable enemy". After the shutdown, new vulnerabilities and malicious codes will cause the server to collapse instantly, further causing serious consequences such as information leakage, business shutdown, and ransomware attacks. After foreseeing this situation, Changsha Smart Transportation Development Center proposed that the existing operating system should be upgraded to an independently innovative, safe, stable and reliable domestic operating system. As a first-tier domestic server operating system manufacturer, Kylin Security provided a smooth migration solution and successfully helped the center resolve the CentOS shutdown crisis.

Before MigrationBased on the massive data operations carried by the key business systems of the Changsha Smart Transportation Development Center, Kylin Security designed an end-to-end "migration planning->solution design->solution verification->migration implementation->online operation" full-process system migration service solution, and cooperated with Hunan Euler Ecological Innovation Center to conduct comprehensive compatibility and adaptation testing on customer business software to ensure the normal operation of the business software after migration.

After determining the migration planThe Changsha Smart Transportation Development Center uses C2K, a one-click migration tool developed by Kylin Security, to smoothly migrate key business systems to the Kylin Security operating system, realize automated system migration, improve migration efficiency, and effectively reduce the risk of human operation. After the migration, Kylin Security continues to provide it with original after-sales services.

The CentOS operating system previously running in the center was upgraded to the domestically produced Kylin Security Operating System, which minimized the impact and losses on users caused by service suspension and ensured the continuity of users' business systems. At the same time, it provided Changsha Intelligent Transportation Development Center with safe, stable and reliable domestically produced operating system after-sales support services.

This system migration successfully verified that transportation industry application software can run stably and smoothly on the Kylin Security operating system, further promoting independent innovation of basic software in the transportation industry and the construction of the openEuler community ecosystem. As a leading domestic operating system manufacturer, Kylin Security quickly responds to user business needs, continuously refines migration solutions and tools, deeply masters the core technologies of the operating system, and assists all walks of life in fully coping with the CentOS shutdown crisis, making new contributions to digital transformation!
