GTI can provide N5/N7/N8 neutral gray paint for different viewing environments. N5/N7/N8 represent different shades of gray, deep, medium and light. In the imaging, industrial and printing industries, there are certain requirements for the surrounding viewing environment, and corresponding standard documents have been issued. Customers can choose according to the actual use environment. When D50 or D65 standard lighting is reflected from a colored wall, its color quality changes and is therefore no longer "standard". Applying neutral gray paint to the surrounding surface can provide a spectrally neutral surface around the viewing area, thereby eliminating this color pollution.
GTI's neutral gray paints are suitable for use in colored viewing areas where industry viewing standards require a gray surround. They provide a spectrally neutral viewing background, eliminate simultaneous color contrast, and minimize color contamination of the viewing area.
GTI's neutral gray paint uses a special formula. It is not a simple mixture of black and white, but an equal mixture of all spectral component paints (roygbiv). If we use a spectrophotometric spectrophotometer to measure the spectrum curve of neutral gray, we can see a horizontal line that is almost equal at all wavelengths. This greatly reduces the cold and warm color shift under different lighting conditions.
Standard neutral grey N8 - for graphic arts applications
GTI Graphiclite Standard Neutral Gray N8 coating provides the neutral gray surround conditions and 60% reflectivity specified in the ISO 3664:2009 graphic technology and photographic observation standard, and can be used to establish a printing standard sample room.

Standard neutral grey N7 - for color and appearance applications
GTI CMlite Standard Neutral Gray N7 paint provides neutral ambient conditions as specified by the ASTM D1729 viewing standard. A slightly darker shade than N8, it is specially formulated for industrial viewing such as paints, plastics, textiles and other non-graphic arts industries. Based on industry standards such as ASTM D1729-96, SAE J361, Tappi 7515, BS-950 Part 1, AS 1580.6001.1, etc.
All GTI's CMlite series colorimetric light boxes are painted with a standard neutral grey N7 paint.
Standard neutral gray N5 - for video imaging applications
GTI CMlite Standard Neutral Gray N5 paint, a darker shade than Neutral 7 or Neutral 8, provides an 18% neutral gray effect, which is an ideal choice for a variety of imaging applications, including video editing, engineering applications and image science environments. According to ASTM D1729-96, SAE J361, Tappi 7515, BS-950 Part 1, AS 1580.6001.1 and other industry standards.
N5 paint provides an ideal matte finish and is often used for interior walls in image quality labs. 18% neutral gray paint can ensure an ideal test environment when using test charts to test mobile phone exposure. For example, the test charts used include X-Rite 24 color chart, Log frequency comparison test chart, ISO-15739 test noise test chart, ISO-14524 digital comparison test chart and more test charts.
