Analytical Department Work: The mission of the Analytical Department is to provide technical support for existing products and new developments, while developing standards within the company. The main challenge for our department is to optimize and build up R&D projects in our engineering centers around the world. For us, innovation is essential in developing new products and solutions to continue to lead the industry.

We use Altair Units with Altair One to deploy all the simulations we need and leverage the scalable cloud to quickly acquire resources. We used Altair HyperWorks with Altair Optistruct to analyze complex mechanical models and simulations to ensure that each component worked as designed, which streamlined the optimization process at every step.
Altair Radioss enables us to accurately create dynamic simulations, such as shock simulations, which are impossible to simulate using traditional computational models. We also use Altair Flux to accelerate engine design and simulation, and a key benefit of this tool is the ability to accommodate electromagnetic components in the design.
HyperStudy brings it all together, and we use it to find common variables to ensure our products are the best in terms of performance and durability. By using Altair One’s scalable cloud resources, we have accelerated our product design cycles. Before moving to the cloud, we ran all our work locally and did not have the resources to handle large jobs. Now, it is easy to get the computing power we need, and we are able to get results quickly and efficiently.
We have significantly reduced the cost of expensive on-premises HPC resources and cut computational time by 50% with Altair One.The transition to using Altair software has been very smooth and the implementation process has been easy. At the same time, we can easily find a large number of online resources. We expect to run more complex simulations throughout the product lifecycle to take advantage of its scalable cloud HPC resources.
Our next challenges involve extending static computational knowledge and models. Our goal is to continue improving our dynamic simulations, just as we explore more impact capabilities in simulations, such as noise modal analysis, all of which are done with the help of our testing of Altair solutions.
