Recently, EaseUS Partition Master 18.8.0 was released. This update mainly improvesSystem cloning function, supports cloning the system from the second system disk (slave disk); at the same time, the software supports changing the file system format of the partition fromConvert FAT to exFAT

01. System cloning

The system cloning feature is designed to help users quickly and easily migrate the operating system and data when replacing the hard drive or upgrading the system.

When the user connects the system disk (old system disk) on the original computer and the target new disk as slave disks to the new computer, use EaseUS Partition Master on the new computer to clone the slave disk system to the target new disk. After the cloning is complete, install the new disk back to the original computer. At this time, the computer can directly start the system from this disk.

The Boot partition is a special partition used to store startup files and operating system boot programs, usually called a boot partition or system startup partition.

When users choose to clone the Boot partition, the software will guide users to use the "Migrate Operating System" function so that users can migrate system data more efficiently and completely.

02. Convert FAT to exFAT

FAT was originally used in early DOS and Windows operating systems and is one of the earliest file system formats. The FAT file system has some limitations, such as not supporting single files larger than 4GB and not supporting file permission settings.

exFAT is a file system suitable for large-capacity storage devices and mobile devices. It supports single file sizes up to 16EB and volume sizes up to 128PB. It is suitable for storing large files and large-capacity data and has better compatibility and performance.

Users can use the "Format" function of EaseUS Partition Master to convert the partition's file system format from FAT to exFAT.

In addition to the above two major functional improvements, we have also optimized the software performance to improve the stability and user experience of the software. Users can enjoy smoother and more efficient system cloning and partition management operations after the update.
